Login Methods
When a Tenant Administrator logs in to this site for the first time, see Initial Login as a Tenant Administrator. When general users log in to this site for the first time, see Initial Login as a General User.
When previously entered account information is stored in the Web browser, a second or subsequent login attempt will succeed simply by selecting the user's stored account. When account information is not stored in the Web browser, the user needs to enter their account information again.
When the "Save account information in browser" check box is selected, account information is stored in the Web browser.

If the "Need Admin Approval" screen appears while attempting to log in, contact a Microsoft Entra ID global administrator for approval

Depending on the administrator settings, authentication by an authentication application is required for login. For details about settings of the authentication application, se e page MFA Settings.
When previous account information is stored in the Web browser
The login screen displays the formerly used account information.
Log in by clicking the account to be used.

If using a different account from that displayed, click [Log in with different account]. The account information input screen appears.
When previous account information is not stored in the Web browser
When the login screen is displayed, you, as an administrator or a general user, must follow the instructions that appear so as to enter your required login information. To do this, follow the login method specified for the tenant to which you belong.
This section explains using the login screen when your tenant ID is set. If you login to another tenant, click [x] next to the tenant ID. And then enter the ID and log in when the ID will be cleared.
Enter the email address, and then click [Next].

Enter the account information.
Using an email address for logging in
If the login method for your tenant specifies use of "Email Address/Password", use your email address to log in.
- Enter your password, and then click [Login].

- If MFA (multi-factor authorization) is enabled, enter the confirmation code that is displayed in the authentication application, and then click [Confirm].

Using user ID for logging in
If the login method for your tenant specifies use of "Tenant ID/User ID/Password", use your User ID to log in.
- Enter your Tenant ID, User ID, and password, and then click [Login].

- If MFA (multi-factor authorization) is enabled, enter the confirmation code that is displayed in the authentication application, and then click [Confirm].

Using Microsoft 365 account for logging in
If the login method for your tenant specifies use of "Microsoft 365 account", use your Microsoft 365 account to log in.
- Click [Login].

- When the login screen for Microsoft 365 is displayed, follow the instructions that appear for logging in.
Using the SAML-based ID provider account for logging in
If the login method for your tenant specifies "SAML", use your SAML-linked ID provider account to log in.
- Click [Login].

- When the login screen for the ID provider is displayed, follow the instructions that appear for logging in.
If any of the login methods are selectable
If the login method for your tenant does not specify use of a specific login method "All", you can switch between the login methods.
Initially, the login screen for password entry is displayed. To switch the login method, click the desired login method to switch to it.
If your password is forgotten
Enter a new password, and then use the new password to log in.
On the Login screen, click [Forgot password?], enter
your email address, and then click [Send].
An email that guides you to reset your password will be sent to the email address. Complete the resetting of your password within 12 hours of your email reception.
Use the URL shown in the received email to access the
Reset Password screen, and then reset your password according to the password policies.

If MFA is enabled, enter the confirmation code that is displayed in the authentication application.
If you have forgotten your tenant ID or user ID
Click [Forgot tenant ID or user ID?] on the login
screen, enter your email address, and click [Send].
At the entered email address, you will receive an email containing your tenant ID and user ID.
Check the tenant ID and user ID, and then log in again
through the login screen.
If your password is disabled
Your password will be disabled if one of the following conditions occur. Set a new password and log in with the new password.

The existing password violates a password policy since the tenant administrator has changed the password policies.
The existing password has expired.
On the screen for resetting your password via email,
enter your email address, and then click [Send].
An email that guides you to reset your password will be sent to the email address. Complete the resetting of your password within 12 hours since you received the email.
Use the URL shown in the received email to access the
Reset Password screen, and then reset your password according to the password policies.

If you have forgotten your confirmation code
If MFA (multi-factor authorization) is enabled, but you have forgotten your confirmation code, ask the administrator to delete the authentication application setting.
Administrators can delete the authentication application setting from Editing User Information under User Management.
